As a child, Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf collected hockey cards. And so was born his fascination for systems classifying objects, images, and words, linking his visual arts and literary practices. Passionate about popular culture, MAKP has exhibited numerous collections of classified ads, trophies, cookbooks, and vintage pin buttons, in addition to sports cards. An avid hockey fan, MAKP admits that his interest in the national sport lies in part in its graphic elements: the cards, of course, but also the jerseys, logos, and colours.
