« Je dirais que toute affection enveloppe le passage par lequel on arrive à elle », déclare Deleuze à son auditoire vincennois ; chercher ces passages renouvèle une réflexion sur la nature de la posture critique et la capacité de l’art à « affecter » lorsqu’il agit au cœur de l’institution.

Dès le seuil de la galerie, des objets aux courbes dorées (Trophy Wall) invitent à s’engager dans l’exposition de Maria Hupfield, Stay Golden. Au centre de la pièce, Jiimaan (vidéo, 2015) présente des éléments issus de la performance éponyme réalisée durant la Biennale de Venise, soit une double projection vidéo (avec et sans public) et les objets que l’artiste y manipule. Enfin l’œuvre intitulée Shared Work with Rock Carrier Prototype (2015) métamorphose en collaboration artistique la récupération de barrières de construction, que l’artiste transforme en un lance-pierre géant.
