Celle-ci s\u2019ouvre sur un paysage de globes de verre sonores dont la surface travaill\u00e9e \u00e9voque des masses gazeuses. Les sons sont ceux d\u2019une constellation faisant actuellement l\u2019objet d\u2019une sonification \u2013 proc\u00e9d\u00e9 visant \u00e0 transposer les ondes lumineuses des \u00e9toiles en signaux acoustiques \u2013 par la NASA. Plus loin, <em>Anamorphone<\/em> (2014) reconstitue un \u00ab bruit blanc \u00bb correspondant au spectre audible. Les hautparleurs r\u00e9partis autour de l\u2019espace suivent une gradation de fr\u00e9quences et produisent une ellipse sonore, son enveloppant per\u00e7u \u00e0 la fois visuellement et auditivement. Il y a quelque chose de liquide, voire de marin, dans cette installation : le verre que Charbonnel utilise pour ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s acoustiques rappelle l\u2019aquarium, tandis que les fils des hautparleurs, qui descendent le long des murs, paraissent onduler comme la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation d\u2019un fond oc\u00e9anique. Six \u00e0 huit mois ont \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaires pour cultiver les conditions id\u00e9ales de production des cristaux : protocole pr\u00e9cis d\u2019humidification, classification et recensement de cordes de tissus int\u00e9ressantes pour leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 former ou \u00e0 laisser croitre ces cristaux. La collection pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans des \u00e9crins noirs constitue une merveilleuse le\u00e7on de cristallographie : cristaux ronds, carr\u00e9s, concr\u00e9tion plus ou moins pure. La puret\u00e9 ou l\u2019impuret\u00e9 du sel utilis\u00e9 donne plus ou moins d\u2019accroches \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re, tout comme les gouttes d\u2019eau qui forment un nuage se pr\u00eatent plus ou moins au jeu de la r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration. Avec <em>Nebula I, II, III<\/em> (2014), cette puret\u00e9 dans la captation des \u00e9tats interm\u00e9diaires de la mati\u00e8re se transpose dans l\u2019\u00e9vocation du passage de l\u2019\u00e9tat liquide \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat solide avec la gravure de nuages dans des plaques de verre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaston Bachelard disait que l\u2019imagination, plut\u00f4t que d\u2019\u00eatre la facult\u00e9 de former des images, \u00e9tait la facult\u00e9 de d\u00e9former les images fournies par la perception. Charbonnel semble adopter le m\u00eame programme. \u00c0 la suite d\u2019un protocole pr\u00e9cis qui donne \u00e0 percevoir diff\u00e9remment un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne complexe, elle cr\u00e9e un temps suspendu, terreau fertile pour l\u2019imaginaire.
