Elle permet non seulement de conserver la trace d\u2019une exp\u00e9rimentation sc\u00e9nographique consistant \u00e0 exposer dans une galerie un m\u00e9dium aussi contraignant que la vid\u00e9o, mais aussi de la r\u00e9investir dans une recherche \u00e9ditoriale qui s\u2019exprime par le graphisme singulier du livre. Ensuite, elle ram\u00e8ne dans l\u2019espace public la r\u00e9flexion sur le vivre ensemble et sur les enjeux politiques de l\u2019art, projet dont Louise D\u00e9ry rappelle justement l\u2019importance \u00e0 plusieurs reprises dans cet ouvrage. Bien qu\u2019elles \u00e9valuent, d\u00e8s la pr\u00e9face, la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de renouveler une telle r\u00e9flexion \u00e0 l\u2019aune du contexte qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois actuel (\u00ab\u2009ici, chez nous\u2009\u00bb, \u00e9crivent-elles) et de la vocation d\u2019une galerie universitaire, les auteures ne cessent de souligner la port\u00e9e universelle des questions soulev\u00e9es par l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019Artur \u017bmijewski, notamment en reproduisant en polonais des extraits de son manifeste <em>The applied social Arts <\/em>(2007).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le texte de V\u00e9ronique Leblanc oriente la r\u00e9ception des \u0153uvres expos\u00e9es en les inscrivant dans une r\u00e9flexion g\u00e9n\u00e9rale sur l\u2019art relationnel. Analysant les \u0153uvres en termes d\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de relations de pouvoir, elle fait appara\u00eetre les enjeux d\u2019une pratique artistique qui met en \u00e9vidence son propre pouvoir sur des individus et affirme l\u2019impossible conciliation des id\u00e9ologies. C\u2019est donc sous l\u2019angle du pouvoir et du doute qu\u2019elle consid\u00e8re l\u2019\u0153uvre de \u017bmijewski, d\u2019abord en \u00e9voquant la force de conviction d\u2019installations vid\u00e9o au statut ambivalent, oscillant entre documentaire et fiction au gr\u00e9 de la perception du spectateur, ensuite en insistant sur le trouble que peuvent causer des \u0153uvres semblant d\u00e9mentir l\u2019id\u00e9al d\u00e9mocratique. C\u2019est en trahissant cet id\u00e9al que l\u2019artiste fait, selon elle, acte de dissidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9ry, quant \u00e0 elle, semble emprunter le chemin inverse en montrant comment l\u2019artiste r\u00e9pond aux grandes questions pos\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019art par la philosophie politique. Convoquant Hannah Arendt et Jean-Luc Nancy, elle insiste sur la pertinence, voire le caract\u00e8re imp\u00e9ratif, d\u2019une pratique artistique engag\u00e9e qui s\u2019arroge un r\u00f4le dans le monde et incite les spectateurs \u00e0 prendre conscience du leur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce catalogue confirme qu\u2019un int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier a \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9 \u00e0 la dimension subversive de l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019Artur \u017bmijewski, ce qui est sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 par le choix du terme \u00ab\u2009dissidence\u2009\u00bb pour pr\u00e9senter cette exposition.
