Telle une mosa\u00efque archivistique d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nements fictifs, les \u0153uvres tablent sur un mode de temporalit\u00e9 qui permet un d\u00e9ploiement narratif interpr\u00e9tatif chez le spectateur. Chaque tableau, comme une pi\u00e8ce d\u2019anthropologie contemporaine, met en sc\u00e8ne un paysage psychologique charg\u00e9 d\u2019affects qu\u2019il revient au spectateur de d\u00e9coder. Pas de cartel annex\u00e9 aux \u0153uvres. Les titres, dont la teneur indicielle balise indubitablement l\u2019ex\u00e9g\u00e8se des \u0153uvres, se trouvent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart, regroup\u00e9s dans un cartable \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e, laissant libre cours \u00e0 la subjectivit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019imaginaire de chacun.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Prises comme \u00e0 l\u2019improviste, les photographies g\u00e9n\u00e8rent des r\u00e9cits troublants \u00e0 partir de la capture d\u2019une image saisie au moment f\u00e9cond d\u2019une histoire \u00e0 construire, \u00e9pingl\u00e9 de justesse par l\u2019objectif. Une interpr\u00e9tation renouvel\u00e9e de \u00ab l\u2019instant d\u00e9cisif \u00bb, cette fois-ci habilement orchestr\u00e9 par les artistes. Dans&nbsp;<em>By The Skin of His Teeth<\/em>&nbsp;(2010), le regard apeur\u00e9 d\u2019un fugitif en pleine course, lanc\u00e9 furtivement \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il de la cam\u00e9ra, t\u00e9moigne du clic inopin\u00e9 du photographe. M\u00eame chose dans&nbsp;<em>Home Invasion<\/em>&nbsp;(2015), alors qu\u2019on se retrouve observateur privil\u00e9gi\u00e9, bien que impuissant devant l\u2019imminence d\u2019un drame. Mais l\u2019apparente spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 des clich\u00e9s contredit la th\u00e9\u00e2tralit\u00e9 des images devant lesquelles le doute persiste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par des jeux caravagesques de clairs-obscurs, les fr\u00e8res Sanchez mettent en sc\u00e8ne des compositions r\u00e9fl\u00e9chies et longuement \u00e9labor\u00e9es, des simulacres plus vrais que nature. Pi\u00e8ce forte de l\u2019exposition,&nbsp;<em>In Protest<\/em>&nbsp;(2015) donne \u00e0 voir une immolation spectaculaire devant ce qui parait \u00eatre un immeuble gouvernemental. Stup\u00e9fiante de r\u00e9alisme, l\u2019image ultra l\u00e9ch\u00e9e \u2013 combin\u00e9e au cadrage parfait, \u00e0 la mise au point exacte et \u00e0 l\u2019opportunisme de la photo \u2013 laisse toutefois perplexe sur l\u2019authenticit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement. Voil\u00e0 une strat\u00e9gie esth\u00e9tique qui est garante d\u2019une tension certaine entre ce qui est per\u00e7u et ce qui est imagin\u00e9. C\u2019est une sc\u00e8ne que l\u2019on arrive parfaitement \u00e0 recr\u00e9er, situation malheureusement trop connue pour nombre de familles endeuill\u00e9es qui n\u2019y verraient qu\u2019un simple rituel sans autre port\u00e9e m\u00e9diatique, sauf qu\u2019ici, comme dans&nbsp;<em>The Lesson<\/em>&nbsp;(2015), c\u2019est pourtant l\u2019usuel et l\u2019anodin du moment qui sont gage de v\u00e9racit\u00e9.
