Commissari\u00e9e par Camille Lariv\u00e9e, elle se veut une exploration formelle, engag\u00e9e et critique du rapport aux saisons \u2013 qui s\u2019exprime diff\u00e9remment d\u2019une communaut\u00e9 autochtone \u00e0 l\u2019autre \u2013, ici incarn\u00e9 par les corpus de l\u2019artiste inuk Glenn Gear, de l\u2019artiste wendat et ab\u00e9nakise Christine Sioui Wawanoloath et de l\u2019artiste mohawk Carla Hemlock. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u0153uvre <em>Katinngak (Together)<\/em> (2020), courte vid\u00e9o d\u2019animation r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Gear et projet\u00e9e sur un mur \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e, met en sc\u00e8ne des animaux qui bougent de gauche \u00e0 droite sur un fond de perlage en suivant la cadence de chants de gorge inuits traditionnels. <em>Papvik (Whale tail)<\/em> (2022), installation du m\u00eame artiste, comprend 13 tondos aux dimensions variables dont la disposition au mur esquisse la silhouette d\u2019une queue de baleine. L\u2019impression sur tissu aux teintes bleut\u00e9es <em>PESGAWAN (C\u2019est brumeux)<\/em> \u2013<em> Danse dans la brume<\/em> (2022), quant \u00e0 elle, donne \u00e0 voir des entit\u00e9s imaginaires qui dansent devant un arbre effeuill\u00e9. <em>N\u2019-D-AIB KIK8NEK M8JA PAD8GIIWIK (J\u2019\u00e9tais dans le champ quand il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 tonner)<\/em> (2022), se pr\u00e9sente au public comme une banni\u00e8re peinte suspendue au plafond, oscillant au passage des visiteurs et visiteuses. On y d\u00e9couvre un personnage aux grandes oreilles sous un \u00e9clair monumental qui d\u00e9chire le ciel. Les courtepointes se veulent une critique de la violence coloniale g\u00e9nocidaire sous-jacente \u00e0 la logique des pensionnats autochtones du Canada et des \u00c9tats-Unis. L\u2019Ile de la Tortue est entour\u00e9e d\u2019une farandole d\u2019enfants et on peut lire \u00ab\u2009<em>Holding You Tight Until You Are Found<\/em>\u2009\u00bb, r\u00e9f\u00e9rence explicite aux tombes anonymes trouv\u00e9es en mai 2021. Pour l\u2019artiste, c\u2019est le monde naturel, la terre, les animaux et le passage des saisons qui ont su prendre soin de ces enfants jusqu\u2019\u00e0 leur d\u00e9couverte. Cor\u00e9alis\u00e9es avec son fils, Raohsaha&nbsp;: wi Hemlock, les projections vid\u00e9os prennent toutes deux la forme d\u2019un \u0153il qui nous fait voir des paysages et des animaux, revisit\u00e9s au fil des saisons \u00e0 travers le regard des artistes, mais aussi celui de ces enfants disparu\u00b7es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Currently pursuing a PhD in humanities at Concordia University, Jo\u00eblle Dub\u00e9 is researching the intersectional temporalities of intergenerational (in)justices and contemporary art.
