{"id":189017,"date":"2011-03-10T10:18:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-10T15:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esse.ca\/compte-rendu\/le-duras-show\/"},"modified":"2023-05-10T10:24:52","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T15:24:52","slug":"le-duras-show","status":"publish","type":"compte-rendu","link":"https:\/\/staging.esse.ca\/en\/reviews\/le-duras-show\/","title":{"rendered":"<em>Le Duras Show<\/em>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">[In French]\n\nAmoureux et irr\u00e9v\u00e9rencieux, <em>Le Duras Show <\/em>tisse un portrait de Marguerite Duras o\u00f9 se c\u00f4toient et s\u2019entrelacent l\u2019hommage presque sacr\u00e9 et l\u2019imper-tinence amus\u00e9e. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y avait longtemps que les acteurs-performeurs Steeve Dumais et Lucas Jolly, cofondateurs de la compagnie interdisciplinaire Mobile Home, caressaient le projet d\u2019une immersion dans l\u2019univers de l\u2019auteure, notamment dans les zones floues o\u00f9 s\u2019effritent les fronti\u00e8res entre la femme, le personnage-Duras et l\u2019oeuvre \u00e9crite. Ainsi, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but du spectacle, les deux artistes, empruntant bri\u00e8vement la voie de l\u2019autofiction tout en jouant comiquement les cabarettistes, r\u00e9v\u00e8lent que leur premi\u00e8re rencontre, quasi foudroyante, s\u2019est nou\u00e9e autour de l\u2019aveu de leur amour commun, mais sans commune mesure, pour la romanci\u00e8re fran\u00e7aise. Une rencontre d\u00e9terminante qui, douze ann\u00e9es plus tard, donne lieu sur sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 un parcours \u00e9clat\u00e9 \u00e0 travers diff\u00e9rents paysages durassiens. Entrem\u00ealant plusieurs langages artistiques \u2013 th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019objets, th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019ombres, danse, vid\u00e9o \u2013 les deux artistes et leurs complices (Alain Francoeur, Carole Nadeau, Elinor Fuetter, Jacqueline Van de Geer, Michel Fordin et Patrick Lamothe) donnent d\u2019abord \u00e0 voir et \u00e0 entendre, par petits morceaux, les passages mouvants de la femme au personnage-Duras. Ainsi, alors que passent en boucle des extraits audio et vid\u00e9o d\u2019entretiens avec l\u2019auteure, lesquels entretissent confidences intimes et propos sur l\u2019\u00e9criture, les pi\u00e8ces de l\u2019\u00e9ternel \u00ab costume \u00bb duras-sien (col roul\u00e9, jupe droite, bottillons, lunettes) sont progressivement assembl\u00e9es sur la sc\u00e8ne jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019un des acteurs, s\u2019emparant d\u2019un postiche et prenant la parole, donne vie, furtivement, au personnage. \u00c0 d\u2019autres moments, la constante insaisissabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019auteure est \u00e9voqu\u00e9e dans la d\u00e9multiplication de ses repr\u00e9sentations, les trois com\u00e9diennes et danseuses qui l\u2019incarnent cr\u00e9ant plusieurs effets de choralit\u00e9, fugaces, et l\u00e9g\u00e8rement dissonants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019autre part, \u00e0 l\u2019image de l\u2019oeuvre de Duras, qui passe la mati\u00e8re autobiographique dans le filtre de la fiction, la dissolution des d\u00e9mar-cations entre vie intime et litt\u00e9rature s\u2019affirme aussi en sc\u00e8ne : bient\u00f4t, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019insertion de fragments de textes (<em>Hiroshima mon amour<\/em>, <em>L\u2019Amant<\/em>, <em>Moderato Cantabile<\/em>, <em>Un barrage contre le Pacifique<\/em>, <em>India song<\/em>) les avatars de l\u2019auteure se m\u00ealent \u00e0 ses personnages. S\u2019il ne s\u2019agit pas l\u00e0 du spec-tacle le plus formellement audacieux de Mobile Home, <em>Le Duras Show<\/em>, qui s\u2019avance avec l\u2019auteure sur les bords escarp\u00e9s de l\u2019automythification, remporte le pari d\u2019offrir un objet sc\u00e9nique au ton joyeusement schi-zo\u00efde, oscillant entre f\u00e9tichisme et d\u00e9sacralisation affirm\u00e9e.
