Des corps accroupis au ras du sol \u00e9changent paroles et accolades, dans un moment de communion sororale et fraternelle. D\u2019autres se bousculent et s\u2019entrechoquent dans un <em>mosh pit<\/em> o\u00f9 r\u00e9sonne l\u2019\u00e9cho d\u2019un concert punk. La valse saccad\u00e9e de leurs pas soul\u00e8ve la poussi\u00e8re, tandis qu\u2019un jeune homme s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve du sol, soutenu dans un \u00e9quilibre pr\u00e9caire par un bouquet de mains tendues.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces images sont r\u00e9unies dans l\u2019enceinte de DRAC \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de l\u2019exposition <em>Rendez-vous des disparitions<\/em> de Guillaume Adjutor Provost, qui les a d\u00e9couvertes lors de&nbsp;recherches dans les archives du centre d\u2019art, o\u00f9 elles furent expos\u00e9es en 2001. Cette date permet de lier les photographies de Lauzon aux \u0153uvres sculpturales de Provost, qui \u00e9voquent un \u00e9v\u00e8nement marquant de l\u2019histoire militante qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise&nbsp;: le Sommet des Am\u00e9riques, qui s\u2019est tenu \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec en 2001. Regroupant l\u2019ensemble des pays des Am\u00e9riques, cette rencontre visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir une zone de libre-\u00e9change panam\u00e9ricaine fut marqu\u00e9e par une forte mobilisation citoyenne, violemment r\u00e9prim\u00e9e par les forces polici\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La d\u00e9marche de Provost s\u2019appuie sur une recherche documentaire rendue visible par l\u2019int\u00e9gration, au sein de ses sculptures, d\u2019articles de presse abordant les \u00e9v\u00e8nements selon diff\u00e9rents angles&nbsp;: la brutalit\u00e9 polici\u00e8re, l\u2019organisation citoyenne d\u2019un \u00ab\u2009Sommet des peuples\u2009\u00bb, l\u2019incarc\u00e9ration massive des manifestant\u00b7es, les revendications d\u00e9coloniales, f\u00e9ministes et anticapitalistes&#8230; En t\u00e9moignant simultan\u00e9ment du processus de cr\u00e9ation et des histoires collectives qui l\u2019inspirent, ces archives exposent l\u2019origine des \u0153uvres. Son profil transparait \u00e0 travers une structure en r\u00e9sine translucide dont la forme s\u2019apparente \u00e0 une soucoupe volante r\u00e9trofuturiste. Cette rencontre s\u2019inscrit dans un projet plus large qui se d\u00e9ploie au fil de la pratique de l\u2019artiste, \u00e0 travers lequel il investit les m\u00e9moires contreculturelles, interstitielles ou simplement cach\u00e9es, afin de constituer des archives affectives, dissidentes et souvent hallucin\u00e9es \u00e0 partir des microhistoires qu\u2019elles contiennent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Chercheur, auteur et commissaire d\u2019exposition ind\u00e9pendant, Renaud Gadoury \u00e9tudie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole normale sup\u00e9rieure et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole des hautes \u00e9tudes en sciences sociales, \u00e0 Paris.
