Dans la chapelle de la Cit\u00e9-des-Hospitali\u00e8res, \u00e9rig\u00e9e entre 1859 et 1861, six interpr\u00e8tes d\u00e9ploient un triptyque homo\u00e9rotique o\u00f9 il est question de nature et de culture, de corps et de t\u00eate, d\u2019amour et de sexualit\u00e9, d\u2019amiti\u00e9 et de solidarit\u00e9, et du r\u00f4le que viennent jouer dans tout cela les dynamiques de pouvoir.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspir\u00e9 par le travail de Zachari Logan, artiste visuel n\u00e9 \u00e0 Saskatoon en 1980 dont les \u0153uvres mettent magnifiquement en relation le corps masculin et une flore luxuriante, le spectacle aurait pu s\u2019intituler <em>Un homme est une fleur<\/em>. D\u00e8s qu\u2019on entre dans la chapelle, on aper\u00e7oit Logan, qui dessine dans l\u2019all\u00e9e centrale, sur une longue toile, de ravissantes fleurs bleues. Depuis le balcon, cinq personnes observent attentivement les fid\u00e8les festivaliers et festivali\u00e8res r\u00e9uni\u00b7es dans la nef. Assis tout autour de l\u2019autel, elle-m\u00eame surplomb\u00e9e par une \u0153uvre de Logan intitul\u00e9e <em>Nel Mezzo del cammin Di Nostra Vita (The Gate)<\/em>, le public est le t\u00e9moin privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 d\u2019un ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nal jeu de s\u00e9duction, un irr\u00e9sistible \u00e9veil des sens. Vif et ardent, presque palpable, le d\u00e9sir circule. Les corps sublimes de Drew Bathory, de Rodney Diverlus, de Kizis, de Nicholas Bellefleur, de Mathieu H\u00e9rard et de Rony Joaquin Figueroa se fr\u00f4lent et se frottent, se touchent et s\u2019enlacent, s\u2019enroulent et se cambrent. L\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, charg\u00e9e, la sensualit\u00e9, exacerb\u00e9e, \u00e9voquent <em>Querelle de Brest<\/em> de Jean Genet, <a><em>Sebastiane<\/em><\/a> de Derek Jarman et <em>Les feluettes<\/em> de Michel Marc Bouchard. L\u2019homo\u00e9rotisme est \u00e0 couper au couteau, et pourtant, rien n\u2019est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9, tr\u00e8s peu est montr\u00e9 ou d\u00e9voil\u00e9, tout est plut\u00f4t sugg\u00e9r\u00e9, sublim\u00e9, chor\u00e9graphi\u00e9. Quand la tension se rel\u00e2che, que les corps s\u2019apaisent, la voix bouleversante de Drew Bathory s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve vers la coupole. Ce dialogue avec l\u2019environnement, c\u2019est dans la troisi\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re partie qu\u2019il s\u2019incarne le mieux. Dans le spectaculaire jardin des Hospitali\u00e8res, au diapason d\u2019une musique qui semble pulser dans leurs veines, les six interpr\u00e8tes dansent avec la terre, la pelouse, les insectes et le soleil. Peu \u00e0 peu, une coh\u00e9sion se cr\u00e9e entre eux, une lumineuse tendresse s\u2019exprime, des rires salvateurs surgissent. Graduellement, leurs mouvements se synchronisent, leur solidarit\u00e9 se manifeste, si bien que les six corps paraissent ne faire plus qu\u2019un.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Form\u00e9 en litt\u00e9rature \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski et en th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Christian Saint-Pierre est critique de th\u00e9\u00e2tre depuis 1999.
