La crise \u00e9cologique r\u00e9active cette question en op\u00e9rant une rupture \u00e9pist\u00e9mologique au c\u0153ur du rapport que nous entretenons avec l\u2019ensemble du vivant. Sp\u00e9cialiste de la photographie contemporaine, la chercheuse Dani\u00e8le M\u00e9aux explore ce bouleversement \u00e0 travers des \u0153uvres photographiques qui renouv\u00e8lent notre relation avec le r\u00e9el. Dans cette perspective, son livre intitul\u00e9 <em>Quand la photographie pense la for\u00eat<\/em> appr\u00e9hende le m\u00e9dium comme un moyen de \u00ab\u2009raviver notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre affect\u00e9s par d\u2019autres formes d\u2019existence que la n\u00f4tre\u2009\u00bb.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e9aux interroge tout d\u2019abord la repr\u00e9sentation, les choix photographiques et la mani\u00e8re dont ils t\u00e9moignent de notre relation avec la nature. Ainsi, la temporalit\u00e9 des travaux retenus pointe l\u2019arraisonnement par l\u2019\u00eatre humain et l\u2019agentivit\u00e9 de la for\u00eat \u00e0 travers les traces d\u2019\u00e9rosion. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, la pr\u00e9sence de chemins dans les images r\u00e9v\u00e8le que la for\u00eat est le r\u00e9sultat d\u2019une histoire. L\u2019exploration de la for\u00eat invite alors l\u2019op\u00e9rateur ou l\u2019op\u00e9ratrice \u00e0 un rapport intime avec le v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, d\u00e9faisant toute pr\u00e9tention de maitrise. Cette relation haptique pousse la photographie \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des atmosph\u00e8res, plut\u00f4t que de simplement enregistrer la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Elle se penche sur des \u0153uvres qui d\u00e9passent le simple enregistrement pour sonder les imaginaires de la for\u00eat, comme les photographies de Thomas Demand, dont le processus d\u2019artificialisation met en cause les mythologies des repr\u00e9sentations foresti\u00e8res. L\u2019image est alors euristique. Elle se frotte \u00e0 l\u2019exub\u00e9rance du v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, \u00e0 son <em>all over<\/em> et au minuscule, qui transcendent toute repr\u00e9sentation. Si le rapport entre la photographie et la for\u00eat est ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologique, l\u2019intentionnalit\u00e9 de l\u2019op\u00e9rateur ou de l\u2019op\u00e9ratrice est ainsi d\u00e9bord\u00e9e par un apparaitre originaire du v\u00e9g\u00e9tal qui ouvre le m\u00e9dium \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes formes de vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi, en dialoguant avec l\u2019\u00e9tranget\u00e9 de son objet et pas seulement avec elle-m\u00eame, la photographie pourrait penser la for\u00eat.
