Apr\u00e8s s\u2019\u00eatre pench\u00e9e sur le viol et l\u2019avortement, elle s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 une notion dont l\u2019appellation est d\u00e9sormais sujette \u00e0 caution, l\u2019\u00ab\u2009hyst\u00e9rie de masse\u2009\u00bb (maintenant nomm\u00e9e \u00ab\u2009psychose collective\u2009\u00bb). Observ\u00e9 et \u00e9tudi\u00e9 depuis au moins le 15<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne toucherait majoritairement les femmes \u2013 qui succombent alors les unes apr\u00e8s les autres \u00e0 des sympt\u00f4mes vari\u00e9s : transe, tics, miaulements, glossolalie, hallucinations, hoquets, raidissements, syncopes, rires incontr\u00f4l\u00e9s, etc. \u2013 et se produirait surtout dans les espaces collectifs f\u00e9minins (couvents, \u00e9coles, usines...).<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet d\u2019Abril, qui s\u2019organise \u00e0 partir d\u2019une qu\u00eate m\u00e9ticuleuse d\u2019archives t\u00e9moignant de ces manifestations transhistoriques et transculturelles, n\u2019\u00e9pargne aucune aire g\u00e9ographique. Sont ainsi pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s plus de 60 dossiers, consultables sur place, mais aussi 3 installations photographiques et audiovisuelles prenant appui sur des cas r\u00e9cents. Dans chacune d\u2019entre elles, des photographies en noir et blanc prennent de biais les \u00e9v\u00e8nements \u2013 la paralysie collective des \u00e9l\u00e8ves d\u2019un pensionnat mexicain, l\u2019\u00e9vanouissement en s\u00e9rie des ouvri\u00e8res d\u2019usines textiles au Cambodge et la vague de tics et de convulsions dans un lyc\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis.
