Ce virage de l\u2019esth\u00e9tique vers l\u2019\u00e9pist\u00e9mique dans l\u2019art contemporain soul\u00e8ve des interrogations, tr\u00e8s anciennes, sur ce que l\u2019art nous enseigne, sur ce que l\u2019artiste sait mieux que les scientifiques et sur la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019art et ses institutions pourraient \u00eatre mobilis\u00e9s afin&nbsp;de transformer notre connaissance du monde.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Knowledge Beside Itself: Contemporary Art\u2019s Epistemic Politics<\/em>&nbsp;de l\u2019historien de l\u2019art et commissaire berlinois Tom Holert propose une&nbsp;r\u00e9ponse&nbsp;qui&nbsp;prend la forme d\u2019un appel \u00e0 la vigilance. L\u2019intensit\u00e9 avec laquelle se manifeste la rencontre entre l\u2019art et l\u2019\u00e9pist\u00e9mologie&nbsp;traduit&nbsp;selon lui&nbsp;une complicit\u00e9 grandissante&nbsp;entre&nbsp;l\u2019art&nbsp;contemporain&nbsp;et&nbsp;l\u2019\u00e9conomie du savoir du&nbsp;capitalisme n\u00e9olib\u00e9ral.&nbsp;Par une&nbsp;introduction volumineuse et une s\u00e9rie d\u2019articles originalement publi\u00e9s en anglais ou en allemand, il&nbsp;d\u00e9crit avec acuit\u00e9 les d\u00e9rives&nbsp;\u00e9conomico-politiques de l\u2019art devenu producteur de savoir&nbsp;tout en identifiant&nbsp;les potentiels de r\u00e9sidence&nbsp;de&nbsp;cette&nbsp;\u00ab\u202f\u00e9pist\u00e9mologisation de l\u2019art\u202f\u00bb.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holert explique&nbsp;en effet&nbsp;que cette tendance contribue&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;capitaliser nos capacit\u00e9s cognitives,&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;rendre spectaculaire&nbsp;l\u2019enseignement et&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;reconduire&nbsp;des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s dans l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 au savoir.&nbsp;En&nbsp;se tournant vers des consid\u00e9rations \u00e9pist\u00e9mologiques, l\u2019art participe \u00e0 une&nbsp;production id\u00e9ologique&nbsp;des&nbsp;subjectivit\u00e9s&nbsp;o\u00f9 la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 est marchandis\u00e9e&nbsp;et&nbsp;o\u00f9 la capacit\u00e9 de&nbsp;r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir&nbsp;en r\u00e9seau est soumise \u00e0 un&nbsp;entreprenariat de la pens\u00e9e carburant&nbsp;\u00e0 l\u2019innovation. L\u2019artiste devient&nbsp;quant \u00e0 lui&nbsp;le&nbsp;mod\u00e8le&nbsp;d\u2019une ressource humaine&nbsp;dont&nbsp;la valeur repose sur sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 rendre utile les id\u00e9es,&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;innover dans la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9&nbsp;et&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;rendre productif le travail intellectuel&nbsp;immat\u00e9riel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En&nbsp;s\u2019int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont le&nbsp;savoir&nbsp;agit&nbsp;sur&nbsp;certaines&nbsp;initiatives comme&nbsp;dans&nbsp;<em>Antiknow<\/em>&nbsp;de Jakob Jakobsen<em>&nbsp;<\/em>et le travail de l\u2019artiste Natascha&nbsp;Sadr&nbsp;Haghighian,&nbsp;Holert&nbsp;d\u00e9gage&nbsp;\u00e9galement&nbsp;une voie de&nbsp;r\u00e9sistance.&nbsp;Quand la connaissance&nbsp;est activement travaill\u00e9e&nbsp;et&nbsp;probl\u00e9matis\u00e9e&nbsp;comme sujet dans l\u2019\u0153uvre, l\u2019art peut devenir un&nbsp;redoutable&nbsp;outil politique permettant de d\u00e9stabiliser et de contester&nbsp;les&nbsp;pratiques&nbsp;universitaires&nbsp;de recherches&nbsp;ax\u00e9es sur la rentabilit\u00e9. L\u2019art peut aussi&nbsp;interf\u00e9rer&nbsp;dans les cat\u00e9gories de savoirs consid\u00e9r\u00e9s l\u00e9gitimes pour les lib\u00e9rer de leurs normes&nbsp;et transcender&nbsp;leur fixit\u00e9.&nbsp;S\u2019il est subversif et contre-institutionnel,&nbsp;il&nbsp;peut&nbsp;produire&nbsp;d\u2019autres conditions pour la pens\u00e9e au lieu de faire&nbsp;du savoir&nbsp;une force \u00e9conomiquement productrice.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guid\u00e9 par une pens\u00e9e contemporaine d\u2019inspiration marxiste (Negri,&nbsp;Virno,&nbsp;Moulier&nbsp;Boutang),&nbsp;le livre&nbsp;analyse avec rigueur les d\u00e9rapages et les possibles politiques de l\u2019art&nbsp;contemporain&nbsp;lorsqu\u2019il cherche \u00e0 apprendre et \u00e0 enseigner.&nbsp;L\u2019argumentation&nbsp;en spirale&nbsp;de l\u2019auteur, trop&nbsp;souvent d\u00e9pourvue&nbsp;d\u2019exemples concrets, et la profusion de concepts trop rapidement mobilis\u00e9s la&nbsp;rendent&nbsp;par moments&nbsp;difficile d\u2019acc\u00e8s.
