Dans un foyer, un restaurant social et un terrain d&#8217;accueil, ils lisent&nbsp;<em>Utopia<\/em>. Longtemps, le travail s&#8217;attardera sur un texte du \u00abLivre 1er\u00bb, dans lequel More retranscrit une discussion entre Rapha\u00ebl Hythlod\u00e9e (le marin revenu d&#8217;Utopie), le Cardinal Morton et deux la\u00efcs f\u00e9rus de droit. La conversation porte sur la r\u00e9pression du vagabondage \u00e0 Londres, politique \u00e0 laquelle More, sous-sh\u00e9rif, a du mal \u00e0 s&#8217;opposer. Par la voix de Rapha\u00ebl, il met en place une des premi\u00e8res critiques du capitalisme. Il explique que les vagabonds sont des fermiers chass\u00e9s de chez eux par les propri\u00e9taires terriens, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant payer un berger \u00e0 garder des moutons dont ils vendront tr\u00e8s cher la laine. Ce constat l&#8217;am\u00e8nera \u00e0 inventer cette soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d&#8217;o\u00f9 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 est exclue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans ce travail de lecture, deux questions et deux tentatives pour les remettre en jeu dans l&#8217;espace de la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour More, dans l&#8217;Angleterre de 1516, ce sont les moutons qui jettent les fermiers \u00e0 la rue. Qu&#8217;est-ce qui, en France en 2002, pousse encore des personnes \u00e0 la rue ? Les sans-abri r\u00e9pondent eux-m\u00eames \u00e0 la question : \u00ab Quel mouton vous a chass\u00e9 et vous d\u00e9vore ? \u00bb. Leurs r\u00e9ponses doivent \u00eatre imprim\u00e9es sur des chasubles port\u00e9es par des moutons pendant le d\u00e9fil\u00e9 de la f\u00eate du travail, le 1er mai. Une nouvelle \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de fi\u00e8vre aphteuse ravage les \u00e9levages. La direction v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire refuse la circulation des b\u00eates sous peine d&#8217;abattage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qui sont aujourd&#8217;hui les fermiers de More ? En \u00e9t\u00e9 2002, la ville de Rouen r\u00e9instaure un p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre interdit \u00e0 la mendicit\u00e9. Par ce geste, elle s&#8217;invitait dans le travail, reprenant le discours favorable \u00e0 la r\u00e9pression du vagabondage des la\u00efcs de More. Remise en jeu de cette discussion sur ce m\u00eame p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre : 1 500 mains, sur chacune une \u00e9tiquette avec une photo des mains des sans-abri dans la position de leur ancien travail.
